Urban safety is one of the most pressing challenges for many cities, particularly in contexts where social inequalities, territorial pressures, and environmental transformations intersect. This track will address safety from a broad and integrated perspective, linking it directly to quality of life, social cohesion, and citizen well-being.
The track will explore different approaches and experiences related to comprehensive urban safety management, the strategic use of data and technology, the design of safer and more livable spaces, as well as emergency and risk management and response. It will also examine risks associated with natural, environmental, and climate-related phenomena, closely tied to biodiversity and territory, highlighting the need to strengthen anticipation, prevention, and response capacities through a holistic approach.
Alongside these dimensions, the track will also include content related to social innovation, health, and education as key pillars of citizen well-being. It will discuss how public policies, urban services, and technological solutions can help reduce vulnerabilities, strengthen social cohesion, and improve daily life, understanding safety as a collective outcome emerging from more caring, resilient, and inclusive cities.
